Event Description

Leeton Rainbow Pride is excited to announce the Queer Films at LMAG as a part of our Leeton Pride Festival Programs. This FREE event is a great opportunity to celebrate and honor the struggles and fights that the queer community has faced for equal rights.

Held at the Leeton Museum and Art Gallery on October 1st, 2023, two movie screenings will be held within the Little Roxy — the first from 1pm to 2:40pm and the second from 3:30pm to 5:15pm. Open to everyone, and kid-friendly, we encourage you to bring your family and friends to enjoy these films with us. The movies will shed light on the experiences and challenges of the LGBTQIA+ community and offer an opportunity to learn, celebrate and support the community.

Book your tickets now.

Exhibition

While you wait for the movies to start, we invite you to explore the exhibitions on display, including a Queer history exhibition developed by Leeton Rainbow Pride Collective Inc. A celebration of LGBTQIA+ culture and a call to action, the exhibition showcases the pioneers who have made significant contributions to Australian society, despite facing discrimination and persecution. Learn about the progress towards equality, the challenges still to be addressed, and the opportunities to support and uplift the community.
